This Award-Winning Centre is a must-see for visitors to the area, parking is caravan accessible with an easy turn around point. The centre offers a unique adventure into the Mallee environment and the threatened Malleefowl. Dedicated to Malleefowl conservation and to local community development, the centre boasts a world class multi-media interpretive display, showcasing information on local history and the conservation efforts of the Malleefowl. The Centre includes a gallery, housing temporary exhibitions including Noongar and other local art, a children’s play corner, a retail shop for souvenirs, a café and so much more. There are guided tours through the centre and around the two vermin-proof aviaries that house the Malleefowl. There are two short bush walk trails through a diversity of native plants. From the walk trails, you can also spot native birds, including Purple-gaped Honeyeaters which feed on the flowers of the moort trees.
